Together with Marawi

From official Armed Forces of the Philippines – Civil Relations Services Blog

It’s been 26 days since the Marawi City Siege by the Maute Group.

The fighting still continues but hopefully it is nearing it’s end.

However there is still the fact that the Displaced Persons, (evacuees)

needs help.

Sharing our fund raising program for the PALIT BISE rally.

We are small from the beginning. We are the masses. Not rich, maybe enough to survive our bills and daily needs, but are definitely not on the level of oligarchs.
With this we are requesting for assistance from those who also support the Philippines and President Duterte’s administration.
Any amount is greatly appreciated.

Donations are accepted on the GavaGives link :

Please watch, enjoy and feel the overwhelming support of the Filipino People

presented in the following video :

Nasa Likod Mo Kami Pangulong Duterte (We are behind you, President Duterte)

by CinEmotion Digital Films

The continuous destabilization plots of those opposing, power grabbing individuals, Fake “Vice President Leni Robredo”, are not promoting  healthy exchange between the political parties, but are hampering with the Philippines’ and the President Duterte’s direction.

We are tired of the past system of the government.
We will be conducting back to back rallies, so that the whole world will hear
the TRUE CHANGE that is happening in the Philippines!

We are doing this and supporting the President because we believe that
his success is the success of the Philippines
We are not trolls. We are not paid.

Believing in Journalism

The advancement of technology, gadgets, internet, instant accessibility to information have become an important aspect of our daily lives.

However in it is quite evident that this same technology as also been used to present rampant “fake news”, or from supposedly reputable institutions, publish articles which are of bias and not verified with facts and sources, or are just motivated with money.

November 27, 2016

I happened to glance on the Vox Nova’s – a Mass Communication Student Organization’s announcement board and in it is posted a statement, more like a belief, or credo of a student of Mass Communication – in regards to Journalism.

I am NOT of a Journalism/Mass Communication profession.

Beliefs in Journalism, Journalist, etc from a student’s view

Transcript :

“I believe in the profession of journalism.

I believe that the public journal is a  public trust; that all connected with it are, to the full measure of their responsibility, trustees for the public that acceptance of a lesser service than the public service is a betrayal of public trust.

I believe that clear thinking and clear statement, accuracy and fairness are fundamental to good journalism.

I believe that a journalist should write only what he holds in his heart to be true.

I believe that suppression of the news, for any consideration other than the welfare of society, is indefensible.

I believe that no one should write as a journalist what he would not say as a gentleman; that bribery by one’s own pocketbook is as much to be avoided as bribery to the pocketbook of another; that individual responsibility may not be escaped by pleading another’s instructions or another’s dividends.

I believe that advertising, news and editorial columns should alike serve the best interests of readers; that a single standard of helpful truth and cleanness should prevail for all; that the supreme test of good journalism is the measure of its public service.

I believe that the journalism which succeeds best – and best deserves success – fears God and honors Man; is stoutly independent, unmoved by pride of opinion or greed of power, constructive, tolerant but never careless, self-controlled, patient, always respectful of its readers but always unafraid, is quickly indignant at injustice; is unswayed by the appeal of privilege or the clamor of the mob; seeks to give every man a chance and, as  far as law and honest wage and recognition of human brotherhood can make it so, an equal chance; is profoundly patriotic while sincerely promoting international good will and cementing world-comradeship; is journalism of humanity, of and for today’s world.”

I would like to say that this is the basics – core values – credo – uncorrupted values of being a Journalist. Which is even applicable on our daily lives.

We all should go “back to basics” or to our foundations once in a while right?

Help for Animals -PART

Philippine Animal Rescue Team is a non-profit organization in the Philippines who takes care of abandoned animals. In their recent Facebook posting (June 2, 2016), the organization is in need of donations to help them take care of the 75 cats they were able to took in.

Donations to PART can be made at youcaring site.

Excerpt from PART youcaring page :

“The Philippine Animal Rescue Team (PART), a non-profit, non-governmental, no-kill animal rescue organization needs your help! In just a few months, PART took in 75 stray cats, some newborns, young kittens, and adults. Some of them were left outside the gate of the sanctuary, some were left in boxes, and some in plastic bags. Others somehow found their way to the sanctuary, most likely knowing that it’s a place where they will be kept safe, comfortable, fed, and loved. PART now needs our help with their medical care, vaccinations, spay/neutering, microchipping, medicines, and food.

The cost to have a cat vetted is approximately $140 US dollars. If you would like to sponsor one, or two, or more, the sponsorship is $25 US dollars per month. Any amount you can give will be a tremendous help for PART as they do not receive any government funding and relies solely on donations from generous animal lovers. More photos and videos will be added to provide you all updates.

PART has saved hundreds of stray cats and dogs in the streets of Manila. For more information on their lifesaving work, please visit

Thank you.”

There are also specific donation programs detailed in their website.

I would also like to thank you too. 🙂
